Well Being

At St. Gabriel’s we believe in enriching the development of the whole child. Our approach to wellbeing is grounded in the Berry Street Education Model, where we commit to strengthening our children’s positive perceptions of themselves so that they can thrive in all areas of their learning.

Our school’s ‘Ways of Being’ describes our commitment to working together in a positive way. Through our Ways of Being, our children and educators enact our expectations of being safe, acting kindly and engaging with learning.

Through our daily morning routine, of ‘Getting Ready To Learn’, our children engage in circle time, greeting rituals, positive priming, acknowledgement of our school values and the explicit teaching of the Personal and Social capability.

Meet Billie

Our Therapy Dog

Meet Billie, the two-year-old Therapy Groodle.

Billie is a calm and friendly dog who loves chasing balls, exploring the outdoors and lounging indoors for a rest. Billie loves her days at St Gabriel’s, especially spending time in the hubs and greeting children at the gate each morning.
